George Hearn is a British engineer and founder of UDO Audio, known for the Super 6 binaural hybrid polysynth.

After studying electrical engineering at the University of Bristol, Hearn worked in medical devices, Formula 1 electronics, and aviation systems before turning to musical instruments. He founded UDO Audio in Bristol in 2018 to explore FPGA-based binaural processing combined with analog signal paths.

The Super 6 (2020) delivers distinctive stereo timbres, a performance-oriented panel with high-resolution encoders, and hybrid oscillators that respond like analog while offering digital stability. Critical acclaim followed for build quality and musical playability.

UDO expanded the line with the Super Gemini and other designs, drawing inspiration from classic Oberheim and Roland voicing while targeting modern studio and stage musicians.
